  • Bush Television - Sunshine Coast Institute

Sunshine Coast TAFE and Bush TV, a Queensland-based Indigenous media production company, formed a partnership to develop a highly successful media training program, to deliver nationally accredited training in television and new media to young Indigenous people in Queensland. This training initiative has successfully brought further education and employment opportunities to young indigenous people based in regional Queensland for the past two years. With an innovative approach, excellent communication skills and a flexible, forward looking attitude, this mix has proven essential to the successes achieved and provides a solid springboard for future initiatives between Bush TV and Sunshine Coast TAFE.

  • Appetite for Success - TAFE SA Adelaide North
A few years ago the Hospitality Industry was in crisis with Chefs and Cooks leaving the industry. Regency International Centre (of hospitality education and training) along with the Food Tourism and Hospitality Skills Council and Strategon (a private training consultancy company) established the South Australian Appetite for Success Program. With Industry Mentors and Case Managers they delivered technical training, learning consultancy, on-line learning, work-based research and team projects. The Program successfully created highly skilled young leaders and a higher retention rate in the workforce, reaffirming TAFE SA’s international reputation as a high quality, innovative hospitality industry supporter and leader.
